At the last second, the dragon's head jerked to the side, and the built up darkness was blasted from its mouth and engulfed the Death Knight, who cried out in rage. "Worthless curr!" He shouted, stepping unharmed from the maelstrom of dark energy. He leapt into the air, hand glowing black, and struck the dragon hard in the side of the head with his fist. There was a crack, and then the dragon collapsed heavily to the side, causing the floor and walls to tremble. A dark aura appeared around it, then lifted from it, returning to Malifact's outstretched hand. This left the dragon its original bright white; as the corrupting darkness left it, it also shrank, returning to the form it had been in when it was wirth Renn earlier.

"Vivexyl!" She cried, rushing to the now-tiny dragon's side and scooping it up in her arms. She clutched it tightly to her chest, looking down hopefully at it, but it didn't move, it didn't even breathe. As realization sunk in, she began to tremble. First were the sobs of anguish, then the shudder of rage. She set the dragon down gently on the ground, then turned to face Malifact. The lower half of her face was visible, the rest was shrouded by the upper 'lip' of the helmet she wore. Still, it was obvious that tears stained her cheeks. "I swear to whatever gods might be listening, whatever deities may care... I will end you for what you have done. Not only to me, but to everyone you have ever hurt. You end now!" Her voice trembled with such hate that even Malifact's earlier curses paled in comparison. She lifted her head slowly, and for the first time, in the dim light, her face became visible. Thin and clearly feminine, but in no means weak. Her skin was pale, from lack of light exposure. Her crystal blue eyes burned with inner hatred, and were brimmed with tears. Every inch of her expression showed her rage, her agony, her hate.

She would have revenge.
